Winemaking Notes Named after Ray’s first daughter, this wine was sourced from a single block within a single vineyard parcel on our west-facing hill planted with the Bordeaux clone 337. The wine, a blend of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Cabernet Franc, presents decadently rich mouthful of flavors that continue through the long finish. Only 130 cases of this wine were produced.
Tasting Notes A dense purple color is followed by a big, sweet kiss of blueberry and blackberry fruit, incense, charcoal and floral notes. This complex, medium to full-bodied, youthful 2012 requires several years of cellaring. It should drink well for two decades.
Winemaking Notes Winemaking Notes: A single block on the cooler eastern side of our hill planted in 1990 to clone 7 was selected to honor Ray’s second daughter. The 2012 Alessandra is limited production wine of only 120 six-bottle cases. Blended with 9% Merlot, the wine is layered with black cherry, mocha and earthy flavors that carry through a long finish. This wine has the balance and depth to age gracefully over the next 30 years.
Tasting Notes This wine is a stunner, with great density and a full-bodied mouthfeel. Notes of white flowers intermixed with blueberry and blackberry liqueur, graphite and forest floor are also present in this big, dense, wonderfully well-balanced wine.
Winemaking Notes Padrone is created in honor of Ray Signorello Sr., a visionary whose life was as full of character as our wines. It is a seamless integration of supple tannins, intense varietal aromas and rich flavor that expresses the utmost quality of the Estate. The grapes for this proprietary Cabernet Sauvignon are sourced from the best blocks of our extremely rocky hillside vineyard. To preserve fruit intensity and body, the wine was not fined or filtered prior to bottling.
Tasting Notes This deeply colored Cabernet Sauvignon presents aromas of rich blackberry, cedar and a touch of vanilla. On the palate the wine shows flavors of dark cherry, and mocha with a full mouthfeel and long distinguished finish. This elegantly textured wine will age gracefully over the next 20-30 years.
Winemaking Notes Our Estate Cabernet Sauvignon can be called Padrone’s favorite son. It inherited Padrone’s intense varietal aromas and concentrated flavor. Yet, because the grapes are sourced from several of our younger less rocky parcels with a variety of exposures, clones and soil types, it enjoys a softer tannin structure. This wine was aged for 19 months in 80% new French oak and was not fined or filtered prior to bottling.
Tasting Notes Inky purple-colored, with notes of charcoal, graphite, blackcurrants and blueberries, the wine is dense, opulent, full-bodied, fresh and full. It will drink well for up to 20 more years.
Winemaking Notes Our limited production Syrah is co-fermented with 4% Viognier following the French Rhône Valley tradition. The fruit was triple sorted before de-stemming, then fermented at 90 degrees in stainless steel tanks and pumped over twice daily. Gently pressed at zero brix and aged for 19 months in 75% new French oak. To preserve fruit intensity and body, the wine was not fined or filtered prior to bottling.
Tasting Notes Inky-purple in color, this richly textured wine is a study in complimentary opposites - it is big and brawny, yet velvety smooth; spicy and peppery, yet loaded with dark cherry / berry fruit; seductive, yet approachable; enjoyable now, but will age beautifully for another 10-11 years.
Winemaking Notes Careful pressing of whole clusters minimized skin contact. This gentle process helped the wine achieve balance and develop a silky mouth-feel with enhanced aging potential. The wine fermented in French oak barrels with 50% undergoing malolactic fermentation, (Tonnelleries: Francois Frêres, Damy, Gauthier, and Latour Oak type: Allier and Troncais, medium and medium + toast). The wine then spent 10 months on the lees in French oak barrels (49 % new) prior to bottling without fining or filtration.
Tasting Notes The 2016 Hope’s Cuvée Chardonnay is rich, explosive and beautifully layered. Honey, almonds, orange blossoms and butterscotch all burst onto the palate in an elegant style Chardonnay with plenty of finish and refinement.
Winemaking Notes Our "Vieilles Vignes" Estate chardonnay comes from old Wente vines on our property. It is fermented with native yeasts with 50% of the wine going through malolactic fermentation The wine was aged in 50% new French oak and was not fined or filtered prior to bottling.
Tasting Notes This wine presents loads of steely white currant, poached pear and apple butter, with a prominent minerality that compliments a beautifully sustained finish.
Winemaking Notes "Seta" is Italian for silk, which appropriately describes this lush white Bordeaux style blend. This wine was 100% barrel-fermented to enhance the fruit’s unusually rich and complex flavors. After whole-cluster pressing, the juice was racked into 66% new French oak barrels for primary fermentation where it stayed for 9 months before bottling without fining or filtration.
Tasting Notes This blend of 66% Sauvignon Blanc and 34% Semillon opens with aromas of white peach, caramel and citrus. The full bodied palate has gentle spices with hints of cantaloupe, honeydew melon and vanilla. The minerality is silky and seductive with perfectly balanced acidity.
